I find my (wife's) copy of Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words extremely useful when debating various issues on other forums - but tend to get a bit stuck when it comes to Old Testament words.  Is there an equivalent book for the Old Testament?

The latest, on a forum some of you will know, is the issue of 'fear' and especially the famous 'The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom' comment.  I know that there are 3 different Greek nouns for 'fear (4 adjectives, etc.).  I have always understood this verse to refer to the Hebrew equivalent of 'eulabeia' - cautious reverence.

I have the Complete Vines which has both Old and New Testament words.

Got mine from Met Tab bookshop at Elephant and Castle and it cost about £12.

Alongside this I have:

Mounces 'Expository Commentary on OT & NT words'  and

Kittel's   'Theology Dictionary of the New Testament'

Richardson's 'A Theological Word Book of the Bible'

VanGemeren's 'New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis'

And Bruce's 'Expository Dictionary of Old Testament Words'

Hope these give some help.

Is the complete Vine's also on the net by any chance? - I found a site to download the NT version from for free, but not the complete one...

I have the Complete Vines which has both Old and New Testament words.
Is that the Vine's alone, or the one that has Unger and White's OT material added?
